West Bengal Festivals
For Bengal, Durga Puja IS the festival — 5 days when Kolkata transforms into a citywide art gallery of pandals. Kali Puja on Diwali night is uniquely Bengali. Poila Boishakh (Bengali New Year) marks the start of the Bengali calendar with new business ledgers (Haal Khata).
