Kerala Festivals
Kerala's festival calendar mixes Hindu, Christian, and Muslim traditions with its own Malayalam calendar (Kollam era). Onam in Chingam (August-September) is the flagship 10-day festival. Vishu marks the Malayalam New Year. Thrissur Pooram is the world-famous elephant temple festival, and Attukal Pongala holds the Guinness record for the largest all-women gathering.
