Andhra Pradesh follows the Telugu solar-lunar hybrid calendar. Ugadi is the Telugu New Year. Sankranti in January is a 3-day festival with kite-flying, Kolam art, and bull-cart processions. Tirupati Brahmotsavam is the biggest annual event in the world's richest temple.
