Mangala Gauri Vrat is observed by newly-married women (typically for the first 5 years after marriage) on every Tuesday of the Shravan month. Dedicated to Goddess Gauri (Parvati) for marital bliss, harmony with in-laws, and blessing for children. Especially important as a remedy for Manglik dosha — those with Mangal Dosha are prescribed this vrat as part of their post-marriage sanctification.

🔔 Puja Vidhi

  1. Bathe at sunrise, wear red attire
  2. Perform Gauri puja with red flowers, red bangles, red saree offering
  3. Fast till evening; break with satvik meal
  4. Recite Mangala Gauri Chalisa
  5. Community observance with 5 married women
